Like The Reading Of A Book

a glance
not stolen
but rather
chanced

a smile
not coy
but given
in advance

a touch
so subtle
a petal
it would not break

a love
so pure
the ground
it could shake

an intentional nod
a slight
bite
on your lower lip

moving her
hair back
a neck caressed
by soft fingertips

a glass of wine
given
the sharing
of a look

a soft silent
knowing
like the reading
of a book

Z.P. Phillips

Z.P. Phillips moves into the edge of restraint and release, penning poetry and stories that seduce and sting. His work entwines lust with language, celebrates desire in every form, and opens the door to kinks kept hidden in the dark. Out now: Kink volumes 1, 2, & 3.
